Prof. Dr. Mukhtiar Zaman is Head of Department of Pulmonology at Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) and Professor and Principal of Rehman Medical College. Additionally, he is responsible for undergraduate and post graduate trainings.
His numerous qualifications include MBBS, Diploma (TB & Chest Diseases), MCPS (TB & Chest Diseases), MRCP (Medicine), FCPS (TB & Chest Diseases). He has an extensive experience of over three decades, working in the United Kingdom and Pakistan.
Dr Zaman has established pioneering track in the community engagement health promotion and community-based research. He is a keen researcher and has published 50 research papers in high-prestige research generals. He was the founder Chief Executive of Abaseen Foundation which is actively working in the field of health, education, research and relief in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and its tribal districts.
