Dear Colleagues & Students,

The 1st day has become the 1st year in a blink! Today marks one year of me being in service as the Principal & Head of Pulmonology Department at RMC & RMI, respectively.  It has been a journey of growth and learning with the help of my colleagues and senior management. My initial fears have become my strengths, my uncertainties have become my drive, my inexperience has led me to learn new, and my thoughts have become actions in the conducive environment of RMC. Together as a family, we have seen testing times such as the 1st wave of COVID-19; however, we rose together, continued our teaching and assessment through adopting new technologies. The challenge became an opportunity and introduced us to a new way of working.
Over the years, RMC has been continuously exploring and adopting newer methods and ways of executing the curriculums and instruction modalities. This also includes adopting new online teaching strategies, exploring virtual reality options and using simulators for clinical and practical learning. The pressure of maintaining high standards may be substantial; however, we must exhibit teamwork and dedication on this journey of excellence.
I am grateful for the generous amount of trust from the management, my predecessors for keeping the college in the best possible condition, the warm welcome of faculty and non-faculty, respect of the students and hard work of my staff in the office. I thank you all for supporting me through this year full of challenges, here’s to more!
