On September 30, 2023, the Social Welfare Society (SWS) of Rehman Medical College (RMC) in collaboration with Abaseen Foundation organized a medical camp in Kalam valley, Gabral village.

The camp was led by Principal RMC Prof Dr Mukhtiar Zaman, Chairman SWS Prof Dr Mian Mujahid Shah, General Secretary SWS Muhammad Hamad Habib, students, RMI doctors, and faculty.

Over 700 patients were examined and provided with medicines and other essential supplies. The camp offered a wide range of specialties, including general surgery, general medicine, ophthalmology, gynecology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, pulmonology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, and pharmacy.

In addition to providing medical care, the camp also distributed 100 hygiene kits and 100 school bags among children. The medical camp was a success, and it provided much-needed medical care to the people of Kalam valley. The organizers of the camp are grateful to the volunteers and donors who made it possible.
